About Lens Tribe Global

Lens Tribe Global began through a series of encounters. While working and traveling within refugee communities, we came across photographers who were already documenting their worlds with depth, sensitivity, and intent, often without access to platforms, visibility, or support. What stood out was not only their work, but their commitment. Photography became a way to hold on to identity, to navigate displacement, and to share stories from within their own lived experience.

From these early connections, Lens Tribe Global emerged as a collective initiative shaped by those voices. It is grounded in the belief that storytelling is most powerful when it comes from within, not from the outside looking in. The project exists to support visibility, exchange, and collaboration, while remaining attentive to how it can grow responsibly over time, potentially expanding its role in providing support and opportunities where they are needed. The first reel, presented here, marks the beginning of this journey, a moment of recognition, and an invitation to build something together.
